What moves the price

Footage and height
The run length is the multiplier, and six-foot privacy costs more per foot than four-foot picket in any material.
Material
Chain link, wood, vinyl, and aluminum sit at four different price levels per foot.
Gates
Each gate is its own small build: heavier posts, hardware, and adjustment. Drive gates double the stakes.
Ground and access
Roots, rock, slopes, and tight side yards slow post-setting, and post-setting is the job.
Tear-out and haul-away
Removing an old fence, footings included, is priced as its own line so you can see what it costs.
Permits and HOA paperwork
